Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY

DESY is one of the world’s leading accelerator centres. Researchers use the large-scale facilities at DESY to explore the microcosm in all its variety – from the interactions of tiny elementary particles and the behavior of new types of nanomaterials to biomolecular processes that are essential to life. The accelerators and detectors that DESY develops and builds are unique research tools. The facilities generate the world’s most intense X-ray light, accelerate particles to record energies and open completely new windows onto the universe.

Vetenskapsrådet

The Swedish Research Council established in 2001 is an authority within the Ministry of Education and Research of Sweden. It has a leading role in developing Swedish research of the highest scientific quality, thereby contributing to the development of society. Besides research funding, the agency advises the government on research-related issues and participates actively in discussions to create an understanding of the long-term benefits of research.

Institute of Nuclear Physics PAN

The Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences is currently one of the largest institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences holding the A+ category in the discipline of physical sciences. This is the highest scientific category awarded to the Institute by the Ministry of Education and Science for the third time now. The Institute, as a member of the Marian Smoluchowski Krakow Scientific Consortium “Matter – Energy – Future” also obtained the status of the Leading National Research Centre (KNOW) for the years 2012–2017.
